Of course, I'm not exactly be shocked – I was well aware of our check-out date long before our plane even landed at Charles de Gaulle International Airport. Even so, it's hard to say goodbye to a city that has witnessed so much history and offers so many spectacular diversions that a 10-year-old, 14-year-old and 16-year-old can find themselves almost as entranced as their parents.
